HOW TO ENTER

The CIPS Australia & New Zealand Excellence in Procurement Awards fully encompass, reward and honour the entire procurement and supply chain profession. As well as our new look and name, these Awards see the introduction of new categories, a simplified entry process and a new downloadable entry guide to make entering even easier!

Entries have now closed for 2021.

  1. Check that you organisation is in a CIPS Australia & New Zealand qualifying region (Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands only).
  2. Choose which categories you want to enter (you can enter more than one).
  3. Read the category description carefully.
  4. Write a 100-word executive summary of your entry.
  5. For each team category, you will be asked five questions about your project. The specific questions for each category can be found in the entry kit. You can draft your answers in a word document, but you will need to copy the wording into the boxes provided in the online submission portal without any formatting when you are ready to submit your entry.
  6. Collate up to three pages of supporting material for your entry following the guidelines below.
  7. Ensure you upload the compulsory documents. Please bear in mind if shortlisted the high resolution version of your company logo and team photo will be used during the awards ceremony.
  8. Register and upload your submission.
  9. Make the payment for each entry online.
  10. Ensure you leave enough time to complete the process by the deadline.

Your Submission

  1. All entries must provide a 100 word “Executive Summary” which gives a short overview of the project/individual.
  2. You will then be asked to answer five questions about your project, that can be found in the entry kit.

Compulsory Attachments
All entries must include:

  • A statement of endorsement from the CEO/CFO or equivalent
  • Company logo
  • Team photo

*Both the company logo and team photo must be high resolution, minimum 300dpi and in JPEG, PNG or EPS format.

Your Supporting Materials

You may, if you wish, upload additional supporting material with your entry. However, this must be limited to three single-sided sheets of A4 and should not comprise information that is central to your case – the judges will expect to see this in your main submission.

Your supporting materials can include the following:

  • Testimonials
  • Press clippings
  • Performance figures

PLEASE NOTE: If supporting material is to be submitted, it must be in Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), PowerPoint (.ppt) or PDF (.pdf ) formats only.

If you are successful following the first round of judging you will be required to take part in a 30 minute telephone interview with the judges. Interviews will be taking place during the week commencing 17 May 2021.

PLEASE NOTE: The Young Talent category is open to MCIPS members, or those studying towards MCIPS, aged 30 or under.

Written Submission

For this category you are only required to answer the following questions:

  1. Describe your most significant career achievements to date?
  2. What challenges have you overcome in your career and what have you learnt as a result of them?

(500 words in total for both questions)

At the top of the entry page you will be asked to state:

  1. Name of the nominated person (if not yourself)
  2. Job title
  3. Company
  4. Date of birth

DISCLAIMER

Unless stated otherwise, the project name given on the entry form is the name that will be used throughout the campaign, on all marketing communications and material, including certificates and trophies, if applicable.

We reserve the right to shorten entry titles for the purpose of the awards announcements. Please try and keep your entry title concise.

Your company logo, team photo and photo of the nominee in the Young Talent and Leader of the categories categories will be used on the website and for the evening’s on-screen graphics should your entry make the final shortlist.
